Four standards bodies govern the profiles, materials and pressure ratings of what leaves our floor. Every item is then made to the customer's own dimensions.
- APIAmerican Petroleum Institute
- The United States oil and gas industry's standards body. Its specifications cover wellhead and pressure equipment, including ring-joint gaskets.
- ASMEAmerican Society of Mechanical Engineers
- Publishes B16.20, the standard for metallic pipe-flange gaskets, and B16.5, the standard for the flanges themselves.
- ENEuropean Standard
- The European standards series, which sets gasket dimensions and materials for European flanges.
- DINDeutsches Institut für Normung
- Germany's national standards body, whose flange and gasket series are used alongside the EN standards.
